Progress has been made on the underground parking garage that serves as the foundation for the phase II addition. Precast beams will soon be grouted, and waterproofing of the walls is already over 50% complete. All on-site utilities have now passed inspection.

Later this month, the concrete crew will be on-site preparing to pour the topping slab to level, smooth, and strengthen the surface above the parking garage foundation. After that is complete, plumbers can start their work on the addition.

Detached garage foundations are slated to begin in late April.

Did you know? Precast concrete is a construction product produced by casting concrete in a reusable mold or "form." The mold is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site, and maneuvered into place. A thin reinforced concrete layer is poured on top.
The precast system requires less formwork than traditional concrete slabs and is more flexible for phased projects.
